Take out your checkbook and write the new year in the date area for every check there. By the time you’ve used them up, you’ll be used to writing “03” and you won’t have to correct or void any checks!

Now what do I do about typing the date? It usually takes me six weeks or so to adapt to that, thanks to having too many places where I routinely type dates full speed with minimal attention.
