Fiddling with your HTTP traffic

What is Fiddler?: Fiddler is a HTTP Debugging Proxy which logs all HTTP traffic between your computer and the Internet. Or, it’s an editable LiveHTTPHeaders for everything on your (Windows) computer.

Trying to watch that Googley SSL conversation, aren’t you?

Previous versions of Fiddler did show HTTP/S, but that was removed in the current release.

Phil, just ran across Charles in this post at Brent’s. It’s the same thing as Fiddler, but in Java, and claims to be an SSL man-in-the-middle.

Damn it! Had my hopes up, Charles is a wonderful SSL man-in-the-middle… for the browser. Apparently, the toolbar completely ignores the proxy settings, so its request doesn’t even show up in Charles, much less get decrypted.
