You write what you want, I’ll read what I want, we’ll both be happy

Blah, Blah, Blah and Blog :

One of the things I don’t like is the blog where someone says something like, ‘Today I had a cheese sandwich.’Davezilla

Yeah, I think it would be a great thing [if eveyone blogged]. It’s not that you want to read them. But people have the desire to express themselves, and I think it’s tremendously powerful activity. If you write everyday, your writing improves, your thinking improves.— Evan Williams

It’s a hard, hard lesson to learn, but in this case Ev.’s right. There was a time, say back when there were 200 Blogger-powered weblogs, when the addition of a “I had a cheese sandwich, my gym teacher is mean” blog took something away from the community. That time is long gone. <edit>Oops, this got lost in my drafts folder, and right now I can’t even remember why I drafted it. I knew I was going to lose things in there. </edit>
