Putting Baby in a corner

Open Source Blogs? : same thing struck me, but last time I tried to categorize my subscriptions, they came out as “Blogs I Like” and “Things That Cover Just One Category”.

You’re doing asides now?

Yup. I thought I’d like a separate linkblog for the first few days I had it, and then realized it was just a tiny trap companion to my huge essay trap. Then I lusted after your Asides the minute I saw them, but couldn’t quite figure out how to do it (and got doubly scared off by Mark Paschal’s ”fourteen plugins, seven blogs, and some raw MySQL” version for MT), until today while I was noodling around with a complicated version, and realized that I have a perfectly good MT regex plugin sitting around, have had since 2002, and so I could do them exactly like you, other than removing the
s*
a tiny bit earlier in the process.

I hope I’ll get over the initial over-enthusiasm soon, since I’ve probably posted more today than in the last nine months, but so far I’m absolutely in love with it: any size post from two words linked up to my usual twenty-’graf spew works perfectly.
