Why didn’t I think of that? Since my dropdown archive script doesn’t take much space, there’s no reason not to have another copy of it at the bottom of the page. I really should rewrite it though, so that when you are in an archive page, that page is the selected option. Better yet, the script should notice whether it is at the top or the bottom of the page, and at the bottom just write links for “newer” and “older”.
