Weblog Writing Kit

Don’t bother reading Instapundit or Scripting News or even yourish.com to find out how things are done. —Meryl

Hmm, if she gives away advice that good, maybe I should order the kit.

I’m waiting for the ’For Dummies’ version.

Funny you should mention that. I did once get an email from someone at John Wiley/Hungry Minds, formerly IDG, publishers of For Dummies, asking if I wanted to write a dead-tree ”how to blog” book, and inviting me to disconnect my modem and hook up a telephone to contact them. Not the most successful approach.

I can’t imagine how horribly out of date it would end up. You could maybe do an ”Art of blogging” book, by discussing types of sources rather than actual sources, and keeping all your links on a companion web site, but a ”Craft of blogging” howto book?

Ooh. Blogging for Dummies! Next up at Yourish.com. Thanks, Steve. :-)

So far the only one who sent me email was my brother. It’s funny to see his online development… we’re rather polar opposites online. ”LMFAO” was the text of the letter, I believe.

At least he didn’t sign it dOoD.
