You shoul also note that Chimera is a stripped down Mozilla that offers tabbed browsing, bookmarking groups of tabs, and it even loads links requested by other programs in new tabs. Making it the perfect NetNewsWire companion. And it does this all in a OS X native interface.

Not to mention that Jaguar comes with Perl, Python, Ruby, Tcl, and Applescript.

You need a Mac. You can throw out one of your other computers. :)

I’m wavering, Phil. If you buy a Macintosh, that might be enough to push me over the edge.

And, to top it all off, NetNewsWire can launch new links in your browser, *while keeping your browser in the background*, effectively turning your browser into just another helper application. (And yes, in Chimera, the new links show up in new tabs.) So you can literally run NetNewsWire, keep clicking ”Next unread” until you find something that might be interesting, click whatever links to want, quit NetNewsWire, then switch over to Chimera and browse all the news.

I have a Mac. Get your own.

Get a freakin’ Mac already… you know you want one.

And just think of all the new friends you’ll make!

Pete has a point. Maybe not the one he meant, though. I find that whenever I’m out with my iBook, random strangers always want to come up, touch it, see how much it weighs (I’m careful about that one), etc., etc. The iBook attracts women, I’m fairly sure, so I like it. A lot. ;)

Macs… if I had enough money to get a Mac *and* all the software for it, I’d be spending it on something else instead. They’re so damn expensive.

I can vouch for Chimera, it is the Phoenix of the Mac Mozilla world. It rocks.

Plus, just think of how cool you will look sporting your new TiBook

Sometimes one should resist.

Sometimes one should toss caution to the winds and spend, spend, spend!

Call it a seasonal gift to yourself. What’s a $1K between friends? ;)
