Thanks in part to my ranting and raving, instapundit is sporting a svelte new two days’ posts on the main page look, and Rand cut his Blogwatch script down to just a 400 byte header request once a minute, and pulled the open source version. Glenn cutting down to two days should be particularly helpful to B*S, since with his jaw-dropping numbers, that should save in the neighborhood of 100Gb a month. No, I didn’t mistype that letter: two days versus seven should save Evan about one hundred gigabytes of bandwidth per month. Makes Rand’s 260Mb a month before he cut down seem pretty paltry.
Based on that success, it’s absolutely unreasonable that Sandra, Elisabeth, and Shannon aren’t finishing off a bottle of tequila and deciding to come over to my house, right now.

I feel all inferior when placed next to people like the two you mentioned. But I’m all about finishing off a bottle of tequila (no training wheels here, baby!). Maybe I’ll even fit in after it’s done. Heh.
I just threw them in the list in case you were busy, and couldn’t be whisked across the continent on my whim. (That, and watching Leaving Las Vegas, which is always almost enough to make me want to drink myself to death.)

Probably the biggest reason why those big b*s blogs cop out and don’t move to a real host is they don’t want to change URLs. Maybe Ev should offer a re-direct service for a few bucks where people can buy their B*S hostname so that people can move gracefully.
That’s total bullshit. Sorry, no offense. Take Protein Wisdom, for example. How friggin’ hard was that?
Also, InstaPundit is _already_ redirecting to blogspot. Though I understand he is looking at moving.
Well, he’s redirecting to, rather than from, but yes, if only showing two days gets him down to a reasonably affordable amount of bandwidth, I assume he will be redirecting from.
Heh. I managed to catch B*S down for a minute or two, so I rushed over to check Rand’s traffic signal. Because he turns links to B*S blogs into plain text when B*S is down, and he doesn’t have the text in the sidebar styled when it isn’t in a link, with my prefs the B*S blogs end up in a giant font, three times the size of anything else, to emphasize their shame.
