Using FOAF relationships

An example worth a thousand words : Eric Vitiello’s FOAF file.

Of course, I can’t just leave it at that.

Couple of things of note at first glance:

The repetition of <foaf:knows> after the various <rel:friendOf> etc., illustrating the current state of schema use: you can create a new element in your own namespace, and create a schema saying that it’s a subPropertyOf some known element, but that doesn’t mean that a consumer will actually look at your schema and figure it out.

Also, one very rarely sees DMOZ used for comedic effect.

FOAF

I’ve just started reading about the ’friend of a friend’ project. I’ve even created my own FOAF RDF file,
