Scooping Dave

Dave says he’ll link to his RSS Explorer Tool beta tomorrow. I say, it’s pretty damn cool today, and if you’re at all familiar with Dave’s style of URIs, you won’t need to wait. I’m not quite sure why, but somehow it’s more than just another look at yet another blogroll/channelroll. It does, however, add yet another localhost URI to the proliferation: if you’ve got the tool installed, you can browse my Radio subscriptions.

Also new in Radioland: support for the RSS 2.0 comments element, via a link to the comments URI in the aggregator, and also by producing the element in Radio’s RSS. I was a bit disappointed to see the link move from “comments” below the item, this morning, to an icon over by the “Post” button, since that seems to say that we won’t be seeing comment counts, but I’m so fond of weblog comments that I’ll take whatever I can get, wherever I can get it.

On a side note, you’ve been able to mass import OPML files into AmphetaDesk since June – Dave’s thingy goes one (welcome) step further by giving an interim ”pick and choose” screen.
